Premium brand car wrap vinyl for excellent durability
I love how the wrap brightens up my car, however, I was not impressed by the design for applying the wrap. My brother is a surgeon and I'm an artist, so we both have above average fine motor coordination but we struggled to place the sticker just right together. Additionally we realized quickly the material was not cut perfectly and there was going to be negative space regardless of how well we place it. Considering the price I was expecting the wrap to be cut perfectly. Additionally, I wish there had been a better way to anchor the wrap in place on top and then slowly place the rest, or if a frame could be provided that way it would be less stressful to place. When I placed a screen protector on the touchscreen display of my Tesla, there was an easy tecnique for applying the protector and it took 5 minutes. My brother and I were in the car trying to put the wrap on properly for over 40 minutes.
😬 sorry you had a troublesome experience, 40 minutes definitely sounds like a bit of a battle. This 1st generation Model Y console is a bit tricky to install compared to the other years, but we have found our customers generally have a pretty good record of successful installation. While I appreciate the precision you and your brother are able to lend, the installation for our wraps don't require fine motor skills, just a bit of patience and sometimes some luck.. but we highly recommend watching the install video and pausing it to follow step by step, especially if you find yourself in a similar position as you describe. As for the cuts, we rarely have cutting errors, especially on printed graphics that use a multiple point registration system when cutting. Even so, we do ensure all kits are verified before shipping and while I can't really easily explain how I am positive you would not receive a bad cut, to put it simply, we would easily catch the cut error when prepping this for shipping, as it would be very obvious from how these are set up. - Our console kits are designed for ease of installation, so there may not be 100% coverage on all corners, as that would exponentially complicate the install. Our goal is to provide a clean coverage without adding extra material to areas that don't really need it. For this reason, the tabs that are given are to be used as alignment marks. If you have a slight variance, then the entire wrap can shift. I understand that the two of you combined should have the skills needed to install this, it's just that sometimes it's a small oversight that can get even the best of us. The good news here is that you can easily lift and reposition the wrap as needed, unlike the screen protector you mentioned. And while we would absolutely LOVE to have a frame install like the screen protectors, this simply isn't practical with a wrap given the size and shapes. With our wraps, we provide you with a split paper backing that allows you to align a small area of the wrap without having the rest of the wrap interfere. // If you would like to email us a photo of your whole install as well as the areas you are questioning, I am positive we can determine what went wrong and provide a remedy. If on an off chance this really is a bad cut, we'll of course replace the kit.
